Do I need any special software to receive the streaming audio
file of TorahToday?

TorahToday has undergone a major change in April 2003! RealPlayer is no longer required as the streaming format has moved to Flash! The information below only applies to hear older messages found in the past issues section of TorahToday.

-You'll need to have a soundcard and RealPlayer from Real Networks installed.
It's available as a free download!.

This program will let you hear
streaming audio without the drag of waiting for large audio files to
download to you computer. It's all the Torah without the wait!

I've never downloaded anything before. How do I download the RealPlayer?
To make this as easy as possible we've assembled a few easy steps
that will take you through the installation of a Real Player to hear TorahToday. Please note this is a FREE download, but will take, depending on your computer and modem up to 20 minutes to complete the installation. But, once you install the Real Player, our audio messages will only be a mouse click away. Before you start the download, take a moment and read through the directions. Ready? Let's get started!

If you have a printer connected to your computer, you may want to print these instructions for later use.

1.Windows users click here to go to the Real Audio download page.
2.Macintosh users click here to go to the Real Audio download page.
3.Fill out the registration form on the Real Audio page and press the button that says "Download FREE RealPlayer", You will be taken to a screen that chooses the appropriate file for your computer, press the "Download FREE RealPlayer" button again You will then choose a download site, click any of the blue underlined locations on the left side.

4.When prompted, choose SAVE TO DISC and specify where you want the program to appear. To make it easier to find, you may want to click on the folder up button until the word desktop appears. This is where you will find the installation program after it is downloaded. Also, please write down the name of the installation program so that it will be easy to find later.
5.Double click the installation file -- that's the one you downloaded. If you selected DESKTOP like I advised, that's where you'll find it.
6.You did it! Now sit back, relax and enjoy TorahToday, everyday. Please
note that when you select a TorahToday message, the rear player may slip
to the back of your desktop. If you can't find it, just look at the taskbar at the bottom of the page -- odds are, it's there. Just click on the button to bring it to the front.

Note that Flash is pre-installed on many modern browsers... therefore you may not even need to download the plugin to hear the newest streaming messages.
